Ohio to host youth shooting sports national championship!

Exciting news for Ohio and student athelets who compete in shooting sports.  The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation will hold their national championship in Marengo, Ohio from July 8-15.  This is an exciting program for youth shooting sports competitors.  The program will bring over 3,000 competitors in as well as additional spectators.  Shooting sports programs are an excellent opportunity for students to learn about shooting sports as well as allowing students to competitively shoot.  Students can range from elementary to college age.  Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation is known for being a leader in shooting sports as it promotes safety and responsibility on a competitve level.  What an excellent opportunity for Ohio to partner with the foundation and bring the national championship to the Buckeye State.

“The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is happy to partner with the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) as they host their national championship July 8-15 at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, a half hour north of Columbus. More than 3,000 student-athletes from all over the country are expected to participate in this national competition, with the shooting competitions beginning daily at 8 a.m.”
