In most instances the hunter is at the top of the food chain unless of course you are hunting grizzly bears!
It is easy to take for granted the predator versus prey relationship while hunting but occasionally the roles can be reversed in the strangest of ways. Turkey hunters probably experience this more than other hunters due to mimicking the calls of hen turkeys which can be easy meals to predators. Coyotes often run in to turkey decoys during spring hunts looking for an easy meal.
