Labor Day is fast approaching which also means summer is winding down. Fall will soon be in the air and seasons will shift. Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission are allowing folks the opportunity to fish for a huge discounted price on Labor Day. For only $1 you can fish Pennsylvania waters. This is a great way to spend the official end of summer before or after the traditional cookouts. The other opportunity is for young anglers! Keep reading for more on both of these excellent opportunities! Maybe a fish fry would be a better option with all those fish you can catch for a dollar!
“The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is offering two special fishing opportunities to entice adults and kids to fish on Labor Day, Sept. 4.”
“The first is a $1 license for adult residents and non-residents. The license – good for Labor Day only – provides an easy and affordable way for everyone to enjoy a special day with family and friends while fishing on the Commonwealth’s waters, says Steve Kralik, Director of the Bureau of Outreach, Education and Marketing.”
“The second opportunity is the Mentored Youth Panfish Day. This provides youth anglers who have obtained a free mentored youth permit or have purchased a voluntary youth license an opportunity to fish on 19 Panfish Enhancement lakes.”
