This Is Awesome…YouTuber ‘Lakeforkguy’ Takes His Wife On Her First Hog Hunt [Video]

There is almost nothing as exciting as going on your first hunt, as  YouTuber Justin Rackley’s wife Stephanie is about to find out for herself. When asked if she’s ever killed anything, she simply replies “no”. You will notice, that this beautiful young woman doesn’t even seem nervous…and that’s a good thing. Prior to the hunt, Justin gives his wife a little training on the firearms she’ll be using and from what I saw, she did just fine.

Feral hogs are a BIG PROBLEM in Texas and so the state has given all but free gratis to hog hunters to address this problem. Landowners or their agents are allowed to kill feral hogs on their property without a hunting license if feral hogs are causing damage. However, any landowner that plans to trap or snare hogs should have a valid Texas hunting license, since these activities could affect other wildlife species.

Feral hogs (Sus scrofa) are an old world species belonging to the family Suidae, and in Texas include European wild hogs, feral hogs, and European-feral crossbreeds. Feral hogs are domestic hogs that either escaped or were released for hunting purposes. With each generation, the hog’s domestic characteristics diminish and they develop the traits needed for survival in the wild.
