If You Have Never Owned A Gun Before This Video Should Be Very Helpful: ‘How To Shop For A Used Gun’
For those of you who are seasoned gun owners, you may, or may not agree with the content of the video, but remember, it wasn’t made for you, but mostly for first-time gun owners. For several years, women have been the fastest-growing demographic of new gun owners, but many (and some men, too) don’t have a knowledgeable network of personal contacts that can help them acquire the information they need to choose their first gun. This is especially true when that first gun is a handgun for home defense or concealed carry. There is no shame if you are a first-timer, usually, everyone knows someone who owns guns and I’ll bet if you ask for their help, they’ll be more than happy to assist you in your first gun purchase.
I really happen to like Iraqveteran8888, they’re very competent and knowledgeable about firearms. But, if you happen to be one of those folks who’s circle of friends doesn’t include any gun owners, then you could always contact the NRA. Contrary to what you may see on CNN, or MSNBC, the NRA has been helping folks for quite a long time. Their primary concern (especially if you are a new gun owner) is your safety. In plain English, if you’ve never shot, or owned a firearm before, they are NOT going to try and convince you to go out and buy an AR-15 with a bump stock…no matter what Rachel Maddow says.
