[Video] Don’t Think A .30-30 Is A Good Deer Rifle…Maybe You Weren’t Shooting It Right

This article is dedicated to all of you .30-30 “haters” out there. I can’t count how many times some of my friends to told me not to waste my time bringing a .30-30 out on a deer hunt. Some of them said that it wasn’t very accurate and some even said, I’d have to shoot a deer 2,3 , or even 4 times with a .30-30 to drop it.

Well, to all of those haters out there that believe that, I say- that’s pure hokum. A .30-30 is one of the best deer rifles you can buy. But let’s get clear on one thing, it’s not fair to compare a .30-30 to a 30.06, so don’t even try to bring that up, a 30.06 is a completely different kind of rifle, that would be like comparing apples to oranges.

Now, just so you know, the video below is 9min and 28sec in length and it’s a little slow paced, but it’s definitely worth your time to watch. It dispels all of of misinformation regarding the .30-30. The .30-30 is one of the most popular hunting rifle cartridges on the market. It’s an entry class to big game hunting. The combination of benefits to the .30-30 include much more portability and accuracy over more traditional shotguns and larger caliber rifles.

So, even if you don’t believe what I say, watch the video below and see for yourself. And if you still don’t think the .30-30 is worth owning, then by all means go grab your larger caliber rifles and good hunting.
