Here’s A Cute And Lethal Little Gun: The Serbu Super Shorty 12 Gauge Shotgun

Every now and then something comes along that really grabs my attention and I think to myself- ‘I really want one of those’. Well, today our old buddy Hickok45 shows us and awesome piece, the ‘Super Shorty’ made by Serbu, Firearms inc. What this is, is a 12 gauge shotgun, that’s been modified to be only 16 to 19 inches long. This weapon would be perfect for close quarters situations, especially for self defense, in the event you have an intruder in your home.

The only thing that might hold someone back, is the cost. One of these little beauties has the hefty little price tag of price $1,050.00. Considering the fact that you can pick-up a ‘regular’ 12 gauge shotgun for around $200.00. But, if you’re one of those guys that has to be the first on the block to own a new toy and money is no object….then by all means, order one right now.

The SUPER-SHORTY is based on a Mossberg 500 or Remington 870 (at additional cost) 12-gauge shotgun that came from the factory with a pistol grip. Because of this, the SUPER-SHORTY is considered an AOW (Any Other Weapon) and can be transferred with a $5 stamp! The gun holds two 2-3/4″ or 3″ shells in the magazine, plus one in the chamber. The 16.5″ overall length, 6.5″ barrel and spring-locked foregrip, which pivots out of the way when not in use, make for a very compact package.

As far as we know, this is the shortest 12-gauge pump shotgun available. All parts for the SUPER-SHORTY are made in-house on our own CNC machinery using materials ideally suited to the task. All welds are done by the TIG process, and the manganese phosphate finish is MIL-spec. The SUPER-SHORTY is currently being used by various law enforcement agencies and military units worldwide, and has appeared in movies, TV shows and video games.
