Now, I’ve written several articles about big frame revolvers and as a rule, they normally do quite well with you, my readers. So when looking for a good video along that line, I came upon the one below and thought; “Wow…that looks really cool”. I personally am not that big a fan of snub-nosed revolvers, normally one would have to get pretty close to the target with a pistol like that, but after watching the video, I might be inclined to change my mind.
I am a fan of large caliber handguns and in the last few years, gun makers have been producing bigger and bigger caliber pistols. But, when we’re talking about a 45-70 caliber revolver with a 3 inch barrel , I have to ask myself ;”Why would anyone spend a small fortune on a piece like that?”. Don’t get me wrong, the folks at Magnum Research make some of the best large frame pistols out there, but the question still remains- “Why?”.
Here’s a little info on the makers of this custom piece:
“Magnum Research’s Biggest Finest Revolver is truly the biggest, finest revolver on the market today. Entirely manufactured in the US and like the legendary Desert Eagle pistol it is designed as a magnum from the ground up. The BFR is all stainless and has a precision grade barrel that delivers unmatched accuracy with lead or jacketed bullets. The BFR is the most powerful production single action gun made and with 10 calibers and two frame sizes to choose from you can take everything from grouse to grizzly. Choose your chambering and frame size and have your favorite gun dealer locate one of the BFRs for you.”
So, instead of sitting back and at the risk of being prejudicial, I leave it to you, the readers, to see what YOU have to say about this pistol. Don’t be shy, I really want you to tell me what you think down in the comment section below.
