Great Googa Mooga What The Heck Is That Thing…Why It’s The Phoenix Weaponry’s “Christine” .45-70 Auto

If you’re as stunned as I am seeing this rifle for the first time, welcome to the club!! I do like me some BIG BORE rifles, like the Shilo Sharps, Marlin 1895 and of course the Henry, but this new rifle is a dream come true. Someone took the old 45-70 cartridge and created one specifically for a semi-auto AR platform rifle and after watching the video below, all I can think about is saving-up my allowance to buy one.

After watching the video, let’s just say that I was stunned , this rifle (and round) really, really packs ONE HELLUVA PUNCH!! Scott really put this weapon through it’s paces, using everything from a solid block of rock salt, to a metal plate and even a car door (yes you read that right), I mean he really didn’t hold back and to it’s credit…the rifle was up to the challenge and beat all comer’s, so ya’ll are in for a real treat!!

I’m going to place all of the information and specs about this rifle beneath the video directly from the manufacturers website so that you can check it all out for yourself.

The Phoenix Weaponry’s – “Christine” .45-70 Auto

Phoenix Weaponry This is built on our RFL (308) upper/lower with a custom barrel and barrel bushing.

The 45-70 Auto cartridge is the brainchild of the Owner and Founder of Phoenix Weaponry, Aaron Cayce. Born from the original 45-70 government developed in the 1873, this modernized cartridge steps into the modern hunting game generating in excess of 4,000 ft-lb of energy at the muzzle. This cartridge because of its straight wall also fills the requirements for hunting with a semi auto rifle in the states of Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. This is built on our RFL (308) upper/lower with a custom barrel and barrel bushing. This being said, we can build you one in any configuration, caliber, finish – we can do whatever you want, your budget permitting.
