Maybe because it’s my age (63), but I have a certain fondness for a classic and this one sure fits the bill!! When I joined the United States Army back in 1975, the weapons the Army had in it’s inventory included many “old school” firearms left-over from WWII, they were fun to qualify with, but my favorite was the M1911. The M1911 has been around for quite a while and has withstood the test of time, yes, I understand that it has a limited magazine capacity, but like they say regarding this classic…”firing twice is silly”.
But, let’s get down to the CZ 1911 A1, it is a limited production firearm and if you do happen to own one of these babies, don’t ever sell it!!
The following description comes directly from cz-usa.com:
Built with much tighter slide-to-barrel and slide-to-frame tolerances than vintage models, the result is much improved accuracy without compromising reliability. Built without a trigger safety, the trigger itself is aluminum, with pull specified at 5 lbs., give or take a pound. Its forged carbon steel frame and slide are finished in a black oxide and it ships with two 7-round magazines.
