Here’s The Beretta 1301 Tactical Shotgun…The Best ‘BANG’ For The Buck

If you are looking to buy a good shotgun, then you most certainly have quite a few to choose from, almost every gun manufacturer makes shotguns and so there is quite a selection. But who makes the best tactical shotgun on the market right now? If you were to say ‘Benelli’ , then you wouldn’t be wrong, but it seems that there’s a new kid on the block in the form of the Beretta 1301 Tactical Shotgun. Some say that this little baby even out-shines the Benelli.

Here’s some info on this shotgun:

The 1301 Tactical is the new gas operated, semi-automatic shotgun. Functioning for both Law Enforcement and Home Defense, the 1301 Tactical was designed to be reliable and streamlined. The 1301 features a large charging handle, textured bolt release, and reversible safety button. Suited for tight spaces, most weather and lighting conditions, and most body types, it is enhanced by checkering in on the forehand and stock, making a secure grip an inherent feature.

The barrel is set deeply into the forestock, creating a tight grip from the supporting dominant hand and making the point more natural. Featuring an interchangeable choke system, the 1301 has the flexibility necessary to tactical usage included in the structure of the shotgun. The front blade sights were designed with both indoor and outdoor visibility in mind, and the front sight is changeable, dependent on the users’ preferences.

With an overall barrel length of 18.5 inches and a chamber length of 3 inches, the 12 gauge 1301 tactical is the ideal size for tactical and recreational shooting. Ready-to-use on arrival, this shotgun is also modifiable to most users’ needs and shooting stances. With an adjustable stock, drop, and cast, most shooters will be able to mount and point naturally.

For extra flexibility, the receiver includes and aircraft-grade aluminum MIL-STED 1913 Picatinny rail, making optics customizable without alteration to the body of the shotgun. The BLINK gas operating system, which includes a cross tube gas position, allows this 1301 tactical to cycle 36% faster than other tactical shotguns on the market. In addition to making it ideal for home defense, this feature also makes it suitable for three-gun competitors.

This gas operating system also includes a self-cleaning mechanism; this shotgun shoots as smoothly as a recoil-operated shotgun. For easy transport, the sling attachment further enhances tactical advantage, and ensures that the standard capacity magazine is able to be transported wherever the shooter needs to go.

Watch the video below as James Reeves puts the Beretta 1301 Tactical Shotgun to the test with a 1,100 round review at Thunder Ranch during the Combat Shotgun Course. James initially wanted the Benelli M4 to use at the course but, after he couldn’t get the Benelli for the class, he “settled” on the 1301 Tactical and was disappointed – at first. But two harrowing days on the Ranch showed what the Beretta 1301 Tactical was made of, and James breaks it down for you in this TFBTV review.
