This is the second time I have written about this monster hand-cannon and it probably won’t be the last either. The Smith & Wesson Model 460, isn’t the world’s largest handgun anymore, but it is still one badass of a pistol! I’m pretty sure that this particular pistol could bring down just about any large game you would care to mention (within reason of course).
The producers of the video had this to say about this pistol:
“Today we give Breanna a chance to shoot the .460 magnum revolver. This is almost cartoonish in size, weighing around 8lbs. (heavier than my Mossberg shotgun). The gun has NOT been modified and is sold exactly as you see it. It is used for target shooting and some hunters enjoy the challenge of this gun, hunting wild boar and even deer with it. It could probably be used for bear defense but there are less-cumbersome options out there.”
Here is what Smith & Wesson have to say about this firearm:
Smith & Wesson’s Model 460XVR™ has the highest muzzle velocity of any production revolver on earth. The Model 460XVR™ is so revolutionary that it required an entirely new designation…XVR, X-treme Velocity Revolver. Performance Center guns originate from standard designs or are created from the ground up. From hand-cutting and fitting to fine tuning for precision, these firearms are top performers. Products from the Performance Center are the ultimate expression of old-world craftsmanship blended with modern technology.

Okay, now that you are up too speed on all of the technical aspects, let’s watch and see how Breanna does with this monster. I guess the only thing better than watching someone shoot this gun, would be to actually take one out to the range and shoot it for yourself. But since we can’t do that, let’s kick back in the safety of our homes and watch what happens.
