It’s been quite a while since I’ve published one of Vicky Stark’s videos here at Great American Outdoors, so I emailed her and asked if she would send me one and after watching the video below, I wasn’t disappointed.

Fishing is a wonderful hobby, it is both relaxing and exciting at the same time. If you love sportfishing, marlin fishing in Cabo is one of the best options.  There are so many fishing destinations in the world but Marlin fishing in Cabo is special in many ways.

Marlin is a type of marine fish that belongs to the Istiophoridae fish family. Its characteristics includes elongated body, a long dorsal fin, and round spear like snout in the front.

There are many types of Marlin including the four most popular ones – blue, black, striped, and white marlins. Out of the four, the blue Marlin is the most popular ones. They are preferred for sportfishing.

Its also known as Makaira nigricans and are widely available across the world. They are very large in size and weighs around 1000 pounds. It is deep blue in color and silvery belly along with lighter vertical stripes across the belly.

It is important that you understand what a fishing trip in Cabo looks like. It will help you make the most of the trip. The most important thing to know is the travel time. Sportfishing is better done in deep-sea. Deep-sea fishing will take you far away from the shore where water is at least 30m deep or more.

If you’re stuck in the snow at home right now and could use a good distraction, watch the video below, you won’t be disappointed, or,  maybe you should book a trip to Cabo and do some Marlin fishing yourself..,.there’s a thought!
