To some, Bigfoot (aka Sasquatch) is nothing more than a bedtime story to frighten little children, or a camping story told at night under the stars around a campfire. But to others, the search for this elusive creature is a lifetime endeavour filled with both hope and disappointment.
As a journalist, my job is to find the facts and relay them to you, the reader, nothing more. But if you asked me to my face if I thought that the sasquatch really does exist..my answer would be ‘yes’.
But that is just my personal belief, I have spent hundreds of hours doing my own research into this particular field and my opinion is, that I believe this creature, animal (or whatever you choose to call it) does exist.
I have spoken to several people who spend a lot of time doing their own field research and I have asked them all the same question; ‘Do you really believe that sasquatch is real?’. The answer I got every single time was always the same: ‘Yes’. Are all of these people crazy, I don’t think so, or are they all lying, again, I don’t think so.
What started out back in the 1950’s with only a dedicated handful of individuals, 4 to be exact and these men were called : “The Four Horsemen”.
“The Four Horsemen of Sasquatchery” are John Green, Rene Dahinden, Grover Krantz and Peter Byrne. Of the four, the majority, three – Dahinden, Green, and Bryne – had been members of the 1960 Pacific Northwest Bigfoot expedition , bankrolled by Texas millionaire Tom Slick. Bigfoot research was in its infancy. These four men approached the research with skepticism, science, and lots of enthusiasm, and paved the way for the rest of us who would join “the hunt” so many decades later.
Each and every one of the men mentioned above, spent more than half of their lives in search of the sasquatch, not one of them ever had a physical encounter of their own, but that did not deter them in their search.
Sadly, they all are dead now, with Peter Byrne being the last one to pass away, but a new generation of researchers has taken up their mantle and is carrying on the work that was started decades ago.
The man mentioned in the video below collecting the information and putting it into a report is John Green.
