Watch Brandon Herrera Test The RPG-7 On A Human Body

It’s been quite a while since I have used one of Brandon Herrera’s videos here at Great American Outdoors. I think it’s because Brandon decided to run for political office, even though he didn’t mention anything about that in this particular video.

But, whatever the case, I’m glad to see that he seems to be back making the videos for us that we’ve all come to enjoy so much.

In this particular video, Brandon is testing the effectiveness of an RPG-7 on a human target, no, not really on a real live ‘human’ target, but a ballistic dummy. Still, this ought to be very informative (academically speaking)  nevertheless.

Our enemies have been using RPG’s against us for quite some time, as some of my Vietnam Era and Gulf War buddies can attest to.

*For those of you that have been on the business end of RPG fire in places like Iraq and Afghanistan more recently and have seen the real thing, you might want to skip this, since I’m sure that this might bring back very unpleasant memories, so we’ll understand if you skip this particular article by.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with this weapon, here is an excerpt from an article about the RPG-7 at Wikipedia:

The RPG-7 (Russian: РПГ-7, Ручной Противотанковый Гранатомётromanized: Ruchnoy Protivotankovyy Granatomotlit.‘Handheld anti-tank grenade launcher’) is a portable, reusable, unguided, shoulder-launched, anti-tank, rocket-propelled grenade launcher.

The RPG-7 and its predecessor, the RPG-2, were designed by the Soviet Union, and are now manufactured by the Russian company Bazalt. The weapon has the GRAU index (Russian armed forces index) 6G3.

The ruggedness, simplicity, low cost, and effectiveness of the RPG-7 has made it the most widely used anti-armor weapon in the world. Currently around 40 countries use the weapon; it is manufactured in several variants by nine countries. It is popular with irregular and guerrilla forces.
