Tragic boating accident claims lives of Boy Scouts in Texas!

Sad news out of Texas from this weekend.  A tragic boating accident has now left three young boy scouts dead.  Seems their sailboat hit overhead power lines, electrocuting the boys.  Prayers to the families and friends of these young men.  There are always lessons to be learned from tragedy and this one is no different from others.  Water safety goes beyond swimming.  Always be cognizant of your surroundings above and below the water.  Again, such a terrible tragedy that no family should have to experience.

“An 11-year-old Texas Boy Scout involved in a bizarre weekend boating accident that already killed two other teens died on Monday, officials said.”

“A spokesman with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department told NBC News that the boy, who was not identified, died at a hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.”

“The three scouts belonged to a troop from Hallsville, near the Louisiana state line. The two other teens — who were 16 and 18 — likely diedSaturday after their small sailboat collided with an overhead transmission line in Lake O’ the Pines, electrocuting them, a preliminary investigation found.”
