Tennessee’s Chickamauga Lake Hosts High School Fishing Tournament
Not all kids are into contact sports in high school. Some just love being on the water catching big bass. What a great opportunity to be part of a team and work together to catch fish. There is so much to learn being in the outdoors and what a better place to learn than on 36,000 plus acres of water.
This Saturday at Tennessee’s Chickamauga Lake high school fishing teams will compete in the Costa Bassmaster High School Southern Open. Tournament leaders are expecting a record number of participants with 416 boats already registered. The tournament is a qualifying round and leaders will advance to the Costa Bassmaster High School Championship in June.
It takes a lot of hard work, studying, patience and skill to catch big fish. I expect these teams are ready to be put to the test! Best of luck to all of those participating!
